How to finish an essay

No matter how boring the film is, it is often watched to the end in order to find out what will be there in the ending? While working on an essay, many lose sight of the curiosity of the readers and reduce the conclusion to a boring enumeration of what has already been said in other parts of it. At the same time, even a not too strong work with an elegant ending will have the desired effect on the reader. How do you finish an essay to get the highest grade?

CONCLUSION WRITING ALGORITHM
Read your essay carefully and write down the main ideas of each paragraph or subsection. Go over them with your eyes and leave only those that you consider most relevant to your work. By offering the reader all the conclusions for each small fragment of the text, you will only tire him out with this, make the work protracted.
Think about how to write your findings so as not to repeat what was said in the introduction and the main body of the work. Perhaps you paraphrase them or present them from a slightly different position. If you find it difficult to formulate the first thought, start with any formulaic phrase that will focus the reader’s attention on the final of your work. For example, these can be phrases: “Summing up …”, “This way …”.
Write down the most significant findings, reread them, and try to brighten them up. Are there any doubts in your wording about your competence, uncertainty expressed by the phrases: “I do not fully understand …”, “I doubt …”, “I am not a great specialist in this matter …”? It is better to remove such phrases, since the author of the essay must demonstrate that he has thoroughly understood the named problem.
If the essay contains a thesis, mention it in the conclusion, but try to submit it in some new form. The same applies to the question posed in the work, which requires an answer.
Do your best on the last sentences, because they should sound very expressive and effective. Perhaps you will touch some feelings of the readers, call them to concrete action, make them smile with an ironic phrase, or surprise them with a well-aimed statement. But be extremely careful not to spoil the work with the final phrase. A graceful expression should be in harmony with the entire work, otherwise it will look pretentious and give the reader the impression that you are devoid of taste.
What should not be in the conclusion
The conclusion is the finale of your little creation, which should impress the reader, and not be a dump for empty or abstruse ideas. Here are some elements that impair the perception of the conclusion:

Difficult phrases. Too florid, sophisticated sentences are not very appropriate in the conclusion. The final essay should impress the reader, and not tire and even lull him to sleep, so it is better to leave grandiloquent and difficult to understand phrases in the main part of the work.

New information. In conclusion, one should summarize the work, and not overload the reader with new data. If at the end you bring new facts, figures, acquaint you with new discoveries, the reader will begin to think about them and in the end will be left with a feeling of incompleteness of your work. The same applies to theoretical calculations and voluminous quotations. It is best to transfer them to the main body of the work.

Secondary information. The conclusion should not be reduced to reasoning on abstract topics. This will only distract the reader from the main idea of ​​the essay and leave him with a question: “What was this work about?” All empty reasoning, long speech turns, numerous pretentious statements, insignificant information and hackneyed phrases must be boldly removed from the conclusion.

Finishing touches
When you have finished writing your conclusion, re-read your entire work. In the process of reading, you will find out if the ending of the essay is in harmony with the introduction and the main part of the work, if there is something important that you might have missed. While reading a work immediately after writing it, the mind may simply skip entire sentences and paragraphs, believing that enough time has already been spent on this. For this reason, it is better to read the work one more time in the morning, then it will be possible to eliminate the shortcomings and make the work even a little brighter.
